• Configuration and point/sequence definitions are now stored in text files. This allows for easier support and troubleshooting by making the system configuration human-readable. The Serical point and sequence files can be edited using any text editor (such as Notepad), which will allow easier review and standardisation of points and sequences across multiple machines.
• Serical allows gravimetric units for setting up points and sequences. The S56/S57 allow the user to enter the molecular weight of their TS or TRS gas on the General Settings Menu, thus allowing for gravimetric units to be used on those instruments.

• Analogue outputs can now be selected from any loggable parameter (instead of being restricted to the gas concentrations). A new option, “Hold for Cal”, allows the analogue outputs to be held to their last value during a calibration.
