User group workshop – 15th June 2015
Ecotech Spectronus FTIR Trace & isotope gas system for complete greenhouse gas measurements
We are pleased to invite you to the Palmier Hotel, Lausanne, Switzerland on Monday 15th June to attend a user group workshop on the Spectronus FTIR spectrometer. At the conclusion of this meeting you will have a good hands-on understanding of the instrument setup, calibration and maintenance. You will also receive hints on how to use the Spectronus software to control the instrument, collect, calibrate and refit the data.
Australian manufacturer, Ecotech Pty Ltd entered into a partnership with the University of Wollongong (Australia) in 2011 to commercialise the university’s FTIR Spectrometer for simultaneous, multi-species greenhouse gas measurements. Ecotech was chosen by the University because of our 35 year history in manufacturing ambient air gas analysers and our extensive support network around the world. Since then our partnership continues as we work together to improve usability and flexibility of the instrument. As a result, we are now deploying a smaller aluminium cell that has been successfully tested in Europe and Australia and is becoming the reference.
Because of its versatility, its precision and the fact that it measures simultaneously CO2, CH4, CO, N2O and δ13C mixing ratios, Spectronus customers are using this instrument around the world to monitor their long term trends but also to calculate fluxes using tall towers and chambers.
This workshop is planned as an interactive event where everyone can share results and opinions on analysis techniques, calibration methodology, sample handling, temperature control, data interpretation and much more! See below for full agenda and map.
Please give serious consideration to not only attending, but also presenting to the group on your research with the FTIR Spectronus.
Registration: Existing customers and those interested in the technology are welcome to join us. There is no fee for attending the workshop, but pre‐registration is essential for catering purposes. Please forward this to interested colleagues.
