Gas Analysers/Gas Dilution Calibrators
Serinus Series – Firmware:
- 3.58.000
- 2.31.004
Serinus firmware V 3.58.000 and 2.31.004 adds a new reliability check to Serinus analysers with an internal high temperature converter (Serinus 40, Serinus 44, Serinus 51, Serinus 55). This feature detects if the heater in the converter is not heating properly, indicating a faulty convert assembly.
When the new firmware detects this condition there are two levels of response:
- If the firmware detects heating to be a small amount above normal operation, then a warning will be displayed alerting the operator to the need to replace the converter
- If the heater is found to be deviating significantly from correct operational conditions, then the instrument will shutdown the converter and stop taking readings, to prevent possible overheating of the converter causing permanent instrument damage.
In the event the instrument enters state 2. as described above, a new converter must be installed to correct the problem. Note that due to the nature of the heating of the converter, this condition will not be detected in the first few hours of operation. We therefore advise customers to apply this upgrade at the start of any planned maintenance visit, so that the error can be noted (and corrected by replacing the converter if required) before leaving a site.
